Edinboro is famous for its beautiful lakes, it is a great place to walk along or fish in or cannoe on. The centerpiece of the Borough’s recreational opportunities is the 245 acre Edinboro Lake, with accompanying parks and playgrounds.  Included is a guarded beach, two free boat launch ramps with public parking, a fishing pier denoted for persons with disabilities, and a major playground complex at Billings Park.  This lakeside park area serves a wide range of persons, which includes summer vacationers, summer residents, permanent residents from Edinboro and surrounding areas, and an ever-changing population of University students.
